Ghana Needs An Economist Not A Journalist – Atta Akyea
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa South Constituency, Samuel Atta Akyea has endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to lead Ghana as president due to the fact that he is an economist.
Mr. Atta Akyea stressed that Dr. Bawumia’s expertise is the country’s best hope for economic recovery, warning against “gambling” with inexperienced leadership.
“We’re in Floor 41 yet, and I can tell you that when it comes to issues of the economy, we should hand over that issue to him,” Mr. Akyea said, highlighting Dr. Bawumia’s unique qualifications. “For the first time, this country is going to have a president who is an economist, not a journalist.”
The lawmaker disagrees with critics who argue that anyone else can replace Dr. Bawumia’s expertise, calling their arguments “pathetic” and “coming from the losers.”
He emphasized that Dr. Bawumia’s original ideas and solutions are essential to Ghana’s economic recovery, adding, “Are you saying that God didn’t give Bawumia originality of ideas? And when Mr. Akufo-Addo is not there, Dr. Bawumia’s ideas would be dead?”.
