Ho West MP Applauds 3-Time National Cadet Drill Champions Tsito SECTECH
The Member of Parliament for Ho West, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah has paid glowing tribute to Tsito Senior High Technical School (Tsito SecTech) located at Tsito in the Volta region for winning the national cadet drills competition for three consecutive years.
The school won the National Cardet Drills competition in 2019, 2022 and 2023.
The were no contests in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tsito Senior High Technical achieve the national honours after winning the zonal, regional and sector competitions.
The National Cadet Drills competition which is organised annually under the auspices of the National Cadet Corps Ghana is aimed at instilling and promoting discipline among students and the youth.
Hon Emmanuel Bedzrah who is also chairman of the Volta region caucus of the minority National Democratic Congress (NDC) members of parliament gave the commendation on the floor of parliament when members of the Tsito SECTECH Cadet Corps visited the legislature on an educational tour.
Mr Bedzrah in an interaction with the corps challenged the students to work hard to become worthy ambassadors of the school, their families and society as a whole.
The Member for Central Tongu, Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze encouraged the students to respect their teachers and parents to become responsible adults in future.
The Chairperson of the Gender, Children and Social Welfare committee of parliament and Member of Parliament for Krachi West, Helen Adjoa Ntoso urged the students to seek God first and all their eandeavours and other blessings shall be added to them.
She also encouraged teachers to help their students identify their areas of interests to enable them fulfil their life goals saying “Identify your interest, and let God, your parents and teachers held you achieve them”.
The students later called on the speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin who is the sub-Chief of the Awudome Traditional Area with the title: Torgbe Nutefeworla I of Awudome.
The students totalling 60 were accompanied by the Master in-charge of the cadet, Eric Donkor and his assistant Francis Onu-Mensah.
