Over 110 Civilians Taken Hostage By The Djihad Forces In Mali
Djihad forces in Mali have arrested 3 buses boarded by more than a hundred civilians, in the central part of the Country, on Tuesday, 16th April, 2024.
According to the sources, the rebels forced the 110 passengers to converge towards a forest situated in between the localities of Bandiagara, and Bankass, found in the central part of Mali.
Rumors of a military operation conducted by the Malian armed forces to free the civilians have emerged, although, a press release from the community residents says otherwise.
Members of the association belonging to Bandiagara where this situation occurred, advocated for their liberation.
They have managed to pull the support of a local elected official, voicing their grievances at a media agency “France-Press”, on Monday, 22nd April, 2024.
They denied these rumors by providing a press release, condemning the “persistence of the terrorists attacks”, the “growing number of displaced people” in the localities, and also the “ Inaction by the armed forces” in the region, without giving details prior to the abduction.
