One Dead In President Akufo-Addo’s Convoy Accident At Bunso Junction
One driver, Kwasi Atta is reported dead and others are seriously injured after President Akufo-Addo’s convoy, returning from the funeral of the late Ejisu MP John Kumah, was involved in a fatal accident at Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region.
Several vehicles belonging to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s convoy were involved in the fatal accident.

The deceased driver has been named as Kwesi Atta.
Reports suggest a KIA truck crossed the speeding convoy, resulting in the accident.
President Akufo-Addo was not in the convoy when the incident occurred as he was flown to Accra by a military helicopter.
Two military officers attached to the Presidency, who were injured, have been flown to Accra for further treatment.
A statement release by the presidency conformend the incident.
The statement signed by Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communications at the Presidency said, “the unfortunate incident occurred whilst the convoy was on its way back from Kumasi, after accompanying the President to Kumasi for a series of events this weekend.”
It added that several close protection and police officers from President Akufo-Addo’s security detail have sustained varying degrees of injuries, and received initial treatment at the Suhum Government Hospital.
