NDC PC For Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro Organises Health Screening Exercise
As a demonstration of his commitmwnt to the well-being of his people, the Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro constituency in the Greater Accra region for the December 7, 2024 elections, Felix Akwetey Okle.
Mr Akwetey Okle said people who go to the polls to cast their ballot must do so in good health hence his motivation to organise the health screening exercise among other developmental initiatives in his quest to give back to society.
“I started this thing not today, even before it occurs to me to beome a member of parliament, this is what I used to do. At a point in time, I realised that I have gotten to a stage that I also have to give back to my community, so I started embarking on things like these; healthcare, cleaning, sponsoring people to go to school, and so on”, he stated in an interview with WWW.EAGLEGHANA.COM.
According to him, quality healthcare provision is a key component of his manifesto and is optimistic of paying more attention to it when he eventually becomes the Member of Parliament for the area.
He also stated that he has over the years supported women and sponsired many young people into various apprenticieship ventures including hairdressing, carpentary, barbering among others, most of whom have become self reliant.
The NDC Member of Parliament aspirant emphasied the need for servant leadership which he has demonstrated over the years and urged constituents to elect leaders who would be truthful and accountable to them.
The Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro NDC Parliamentary Candidate urged the pepole of the area to vote John Dramani Mahama as president and he as MP for development.
Chairman of Temporal Boot D of the Bortinaor NDC, Eben Darko pledged the readiness of the rant and file of the party in the area to work hard with everything humanly possible to win the Sampa Valley area which he has never been won by the party in the December polls.
He disclosed that, his team is embarking on a house to house capaign among other initiatives as part of the overall objective of making sampa an NDC stronghold.
Body Max Index (BMI) of participant checked by offcials of the Ghana Health Service.
Participants were also screened of their kidney, prostrate, lungs and hearts.
The exercise which was held at the Sampa Man Zone is expected to replicated in other areas across the constituency.
