NDC Demands Forensic Audit Of Voter Register As Asiedu Nketia Submits Nomination Forms for Mahama
The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, on Monday afternoon led a high-profile delegation of the party’s leadership to submit the nomination forms of its Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama to the Electoral Commission.
In a speech after the submission, Hon. Asiedu Nketia reiterated the NDC’s call for a forensic audit of the voter registration, stressing the party’s concerns over irregularities in the electoral process. He emphasized that ensuring the integrity of the voter register is critical to the upcoming 2024 general elections.
To press home their demands, Asiedu Nketia announced that the NDC will organize a series of demonstrations at Electoral Commission offices nationwide. The protests are scheduled for September 17, 2024, and will be part of the party’s broader effort to demand transparency and accountability from the electoral body.
This move comes amid growing tensions as political parties prepare for the 2024 general elections, with voter registration and electoral fairness being key points of contention. The NDC leadership has made it clear that they will not relent in their efforts to ensure a free and fair election.
