Minister-Designate for Defence Omane Boamah and four others to be vetted today…
The Appointments Committee of Parliament will be vetting the Minister-Designate for Defence Edward Omane Boamah and four others today, Tuesday, January 28, as part of the process to approve individuals designated for key government positions by President John Dramani Mahama.
The vetting will begin at 9:00 am with Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah is schedules to be vetted at 9:00am. The other four,Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum MP, designated as Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives will be vetted at 11:00am.
The afternoon session will feature Adjei Kenneth Gilbert, the Minister-designate for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, at 1:00 pm.
This will be followed by Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, MP, the Minister-designate for the Greater Accra Region, at 3:00 pm. Ms. Charity Gardiner, the Minister-designate for the Ahafo Region will be last to be vetted at 5:00 pm to close the day.
The vetting process is a critical step to assess the nominees’ competence and suitability for their respective roles. It also plays a vital part in shaping the leadership of President Mahama’s administration and ensuring the effective governance of the country.
