McDan To Establish Presence In The Caribbean
The McDan Group of Companies has hinted of extending its operational presence to the Caribean Islands by the end of 2024.
According to the company, the Island region offers enormous opportunities that needs to be explored for mutual benefits.
Management of the McDan Group led its Executive Chairman, Dr Daniel McKorley as well as other Ghanaian business leaders recently returned from a ten day tour of the Caribbean region.
McDan says it would make maximum use of the opportunity granted it by the authorities of the Caribbean especially, Grenada.
Dr McKorley observed the absence of logistical connection between Africa and the Caribbean and stated that it is about time to look beyond the territories of Ghana for newer opportunities in the logistics and supply chain sector.
He also hinted of the possibility of establishing a salt refinery in that region to supply salt to the whole Caribbean whiles extendinng its aviation services to the Island region among others.
The Ghanaian business leaders held several high-level meetings with various ministries, facilitating in-depth discussions on potential business ventures and economic partnerships.
The Caribbean region is a unique blend of independent states, overseas departments, or dependencies of European countries.
This diversity of political statuses means that the region has an incredibly rich and varied culture, with influences from Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
