Let Discipline Be Our Guiding Light For Unity & Progress Of Ada- Nene Akuaku II
The Paramount Chief of Ada traditional area, Djetse Abram Kabu Akuaku III has called on his people especially the youth, to embrace discipline, commitment, and respect for traditional values to ensure the sustainable development and unity of the Ada State.
Speaking during the grand durbar of this year’s Asafotufiami festival on the theme “Upholding the Discipline of Our Forebears for the Sustainable Development and Unity of Ada,” the Paramount Chief reminded the Ada’s of the great legacy of left by their forebears and encouraged the youth to maintain discipline and respect in all aspects of life, specifically to the use of social media.
According to the chief, some young people misuse social media, which undermines traditional values. He urged everyone to use these platforms responsibly to showcase their cultural heritage and contribute positively to society.
He also called for vigilance in keeping peace and unity by quickly reporting any information that could harm the community.
The Paramount Chief also addressed recent issues regarding the lease of portions of the Songor Lagoon enclave to Electrochem Ghana Limited.
He disclosed that much progress has been reached on the initial misunderstandings between some agrieved residents and Electrochem Ghana which has been influenced by political interference.
Nene Ada also revealed that the company has allocated portions of its concession with community pans to local miners and is committed to providing additional community pans that meet modern.
