I Spoke To Dede About My Decision To Exclude Him- Otto Addo
Coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo says he has personally spoken to captain of the team, Andre Dede Ayew and informed him of his decision to exclude him from the squad for the double World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic in June.
The Ghana captain was left out by coach Otto Addo, who is back in charge for a second stint after leading the team to the last World Cup in Qatar.
Speaking at a press conference on why he left André Ayew, Otto Addo said the decision was the best for the future of the team. He further revealed that he spoke personally to André Ayew about his decision.
“I spoke to Dede about my decision. He is a legend, and it was a difficult decision to make. However, it was a collective decision. Even though he didn’t totally agree,” Otto Addo said.
