Government to Establish Job Centers in Every District to Boost Youth Employment-Opare Addo
The Ministry for Youth Development and Empowerment has announced ambitious plans to establish job centers in every district across the country, with the goal of creating employment opportunities for young people.
According to Minister George Opare Addo, this initiative aims to facilitate job creation and improve access to employment resources for the youth.
During a working visit to the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Opare Addo reiterated his commitment to decentralizing job centers across the country. He emphasized that by bringing job placement services closer to the people, more young individuals will receive career guidance, training, and direct links to employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
Opare Addo stated in an interview with Citi News, “The assurance I am going to give is that President Mahama is going to work hard to reposition the YEA as a place where young people can seek refuge anytime they are seeking job opportunities and training.”
He further added, “We have a similar policy in our manifesto and so our assurance to them is that, we going to scale it up so that we have similar centres in all districts. The job centres should be closer to the person who seeks the job for young people to easily access it and the opportunities made available to them.”
