Dr Daniel McKorley Donates Ghc 100,000 Towards Gbewaa Palace Construction
Executive Chairman of the McDan Group, Dr Daniel McKorley has donated GHc100,000 towards the construction of the new Gbewa Palace complex in Yendi, in the Northern Region.
With the palace serving as a central hub for community affairs and the preservation of cultural heritage, Dr. McKorley’s donation not only aids in the physical construction of the new edifice but also symbolises a broader commitment to community development and cultural cohesion.
Dr. McKorley, who contributed to the 10-year Dagbon Strategic Development Plan to complement the development initiatives and priority needs of Dagbon, also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to support such a vital project within the Dagbon state, and emphasised the importance of investing in infrastructure that directly impacts the lives of community members.
“The Gbewa Palace is a national treasure, with significant importance to the cultural heritage of Dagbon, the Dagbon people as well as the community. I’m proud to provide additional support for this upliftment to ensure future generations can enjoy and learn from the unique cultural heritage, traditions and customs that Dagbon has to offer”, Dr McKorley said.
For more than a decade, Dr McKorley has consistently mobilised resources to improve the quality of lives of the people of Dagbon by creating opportunities that harness the full social, economic, cultural, and political potential of the area in an environment of enduring peace.
The King and Overlord of Dagbon, Ndan Ya–Naa Abukari II expressed gratitude to Dr Mockorley for his continues support to state and investment in the area over gthe years.
