Book authored by Konor of Manya Krobo launched
A new book authored by the Konor (Paramount Chief) of Manya Krobo, Nene Sakite II, on the interplay between the gospel and tradition has been launched as part of the activities marking the Silver Jubilee anniversary of his enstoolment as the Konor.

The event which took place on Monday 22nd May, 2023 was held at the Conference Hall of the Osu Ebenezer Prebyterian Church’s Conference Hall in Accra.
Titled “The Gospel and Tradition, the Royal Narrative”, the book was jointly reviewed by Prof. S. T. Addo, a former lecturer of the University of Ghana who reviewed it from the academic perspective and Rev. Gideon B. Puplampu, Director of the Ramseyer Training Centre, Abetifi who did his review from the theological perspective. The book two hundred and eighty (280) pages and was published by the Christian Faith Publishing Incorporated, United States of America.
The launch attracted an array of Krobo statesmen and other influential figures including Rev. Lawrence Tetteh, Founder and President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Dr. Edward Atter Narh, C.E.O of the Narh Bita Hospital, Prof. Samuel Tetteh Addo, former lecturer of the University of Ghana, Dr. Stephen Opata of the Bank of Ghana, among others.
Known privately as Seth Lanor Nyako, Nene Sakite II was born in 1947. In June 1997, he was invited to proceed home and ended up walking into the net of the Council of Odumase Kingmakers. He was subsequently confined on 29th December, 1997 and outdoored on 6th January, 1998 as the new Konor of Manya Krobo to succeed the late Oklemekuku Azzu Mate Kole who reigned in the same capacity from 1939 to 1990.

Nene Sakite II has been ruling the Manya Krobo state for the past 25 years, hence the celebration of his Silver Jubilee which was launched on Monday 24th April, 2023 at Odumase-Krobo.
