The $400,000 Health Center facility which consists of ten bedrooms and comprehensive departments including maternity wards, a labor ward, male and female wards, a laboratory, OPD, and a pharmacy, aims to improve healthcare delivery and reduce pressure on VRA Hospital, the only hospital in the district which serves other surrounding districts as well.

This model involves creating networks of health facilities to deliver comprehensive services, with the New Powmu Health Center designated as a pivotal HUB for the district.
“This facility will not only save lives but also improve the quality of life for countless individuals.
Lastly, to Commit ourselves to the ongoing mission of the Network of Practice (NOP), a strategy being adopted by the Ghana Health Service to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) at the primary level with a focus on improving quality health services, partnership and innovation, which involves creating networks of health facilities within a defined geographical area to provide comprehensive health services”.
