Ada Queen Mothers Consortium Advocate Unity Beyond 2024 Asafotufiami
The Queen Mother of the Addibiawer clan of Ada, Her Royal Majesty Naana Adiki Adi Manyeyo I, has extended a heartfelt of gratitude to indigenes of the land, corporate bodies as well as the general public for the various roles they played in ensuring a successful celebration of the 2024 Asafotufiami festival.
Speaking in interview with the media at the sidelines of a visit by Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, George Mireku Duker to Electrochem Ghana limited, Naana Adiki who also serves as the President of the Ada Queen Mothers’ Consortium, urged unity among the people of Ada beyond the 2024 Asafotufiami festival for the development of the areaa.
The Queen called on her people to show love and peacefully approach those who offend them and endeavour to forgive them since that is the only way Ada can develop.
“It is far better to tell me of my offence, I apologize, and then we can move forward as a family, rather than saying it to a third party and even exaggerating it. By doing so, it’s not going to bring about the unity and love we are preaching,” she stated.
Naana Adiki also cautioned the public, especially the youth of Ada, to refrain from spreading false publications or information about their leaders because misinformation, cyberbullying, and defamation of character are serious offences that can lead to serious punishment.
“One has used so many years to build their reputation, and just with a click, someone could tarnish the image of another on social media, forgetting they can one day also be a leader. Ask yourself, will you be happy if the same thing is done to you?” She stressed.
Naana Adiki added that, since the paramount chief Djetse Abram Kabu Akuaku III and the Ada Traditional Council have complained about it, then it means it’s something disturbing that a stop must be put to it.
Publications of falsehoods about someone can lead to low self-esteem of such victims involved or even lead to death, she concludes.
