Together We Can Build A More Properous ECOWAS- Kofi Buah

Member of Parliament for Ellembele in the Western region, the home region of the Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has acknowledged the significant role of unity for the development of the West African subregion.

According to him, when members of the ECOWAS sub-region join their forces together in a collective manner, a more prosperous, formidable and united Africa will be a rality as envisioned by the founding fathers of the continent led by the Osagyefo.

“By aligning forces together, we can collectively build a more prosperous, formidable and united West Africa and Africa at large as envisioned by its founders and in alignment with the enduring ideals of Osagyefo Dr.Kwame Nkrumah”.

Mr Armah-Kofi Buah who is currently the deputy minority leader in Ghana’s parliament shared these thoughts on his X-handle on April 14, 2024 after he was sworn-in as one of Ghana’s eight representatives at the sub-regional parliament (ECOWAS Parliament) in Abuja, Nigeria.

The former Energy and Power Minister also pledged his comittment to work together with his colleagues in championing initiatives that deliver economic corperation, security and good governance for the people of the region.

Last week, I had the honour of being sworn in as a member of the 6th ECOWAS Parliament in Abuja, Nigeria under the leadership of H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

In my role as a member of the ECOWAS Parliament, I am committed to working collaboratively with my distinguished colleagues from other member states to champion initiatives focused on economic cooperation, security and good governance which are vital for the advancement and integration of the West Africa sub-region.

By aligning forces together, we can collectively build a more prosperous, formidable and united West Africa and Africa at large as envisioned by its founders and in alignment with the enduring ideals of Osagyefo Dr.Kwame Nkrumah.
