Thousands Dead In Israel-Hamas War Over Gaza
There have been countless lives lost and terrible consequences as a result of the long-running confrontation between Israel, Hamas, and Palestine. It is important to remember that it can be difficult to provide real-time casualty counts because the situation may change quickly and different sources may have different numbers. However, the conflict has rapidly intensified, and Gaza as a whole would collapse if there is no cease-fire within the next few days.
A succinct overview
The conflict in Gaza refers to the armed clashes between Israel and Hamas, the government in charge of the Gaza Strip, a region bordering Egypt and Israel. The newest significant escalation took place in May 2021 and lasted roughly 11 days. It is crucial to understand that the conflict is a component of the more complicated historical, political, and social dimensions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a whole.
Both sides engaged in heavy gunfire throughout the war, and Israel launched airstrikes against Hamas facilities, rocket launchers, and other military targets in Gaza. In response, Hamas fired rockets into towns and cities throughout Israel. Unfortunately, Gaza’s dense population led to considerable infrastructural damage and civilian casualties.
The reported number of casualties during the fight indicated a substantial death toll in Gaza and among Palestinians. These numbers can make you cry because they show how the violence has affected different people, families, communities and institutions. It is critical to keep in mind that the figures represent actual people who have endured excruciating anguish.
Currently, the Conflict has been resuscitated as reported by the Israeli authorities that on October 9, 2023, they declared war on Hamas and Gaza, and then gave the people of Gaza a 24-hour deadline to leave immediately from the north-dominated areas to the South. Unfortunately, the consequences of Hamas’ war crimes bloomed when they attacked Israel on October 7 while they were celebrating the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah.
Hamas carried out the operation of Al-Aqsa Flood from the air, the sea, and the ground from Gaza. Firing more than 4,000 rockets while killing more than 1,300 Israelis and 27 Americans, also Kidnapping many who were celebrating at a party.
In retaliation, more than 1,900 Gazans were also murdered, 614 of them children, and a total of 7,696 people were gravely injured, according to CBS News. Since practically everything in Gaza has stopped working—including the distribution of food, water, and electricity—and since the conflict has cut off Gaza from the rest of the world, hospitals there are operating under a Code Red mission, with fewer resources and overwhelming cases of fatalities.
If the UN does not issue an immediate demand for a cease-fire and ensure that those responsible for this horrific act are promptly brought to justice, there will undoubtedly be a great show of wealth by power, anchors and furry by both opposing sides and their allies such as USA, UK, France, China, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Russia and the Rest…
