St Peter’s Establishes First Artificial Intelligence Lab As Public SHS
St. Peter’s High School in Nkwatia, Eastern Region, has made history as the first public high school in Ghana to establish an Artificial Intelligence (AI) lab on its campus.

This groundbreaking achievement positions the school at the forefront of technological integration in education.
The laboratory has been well-equipped with cutting-edge technology making it serves as a hub for fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and AI research across diverse sectors.
The success of this AI lab was championed by the 1974-2008 year groups of the St. Peter’s Old Boys Associations.
The year groups know the importance of technology and its impact therefore, they played a pivotal role in realizing this initiative. Their support showcases the strength and unity within the alumni network, highlighting a collective commitment to advancing education through technology.
Some key partners also contributed a quota. The collaboration extended to involve key partners, including the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Intel, and the St. Peter’s Old Boys Association (PERSCOBA). This strategic alliance demonstrates the convergence of efforts from both the public and private sectors, emphasizing the importance of collaborative endeavors in educational advancement.
Facilitated by the Coral Reef Innovation Hub, the AI lab boasts state-of-the-art technology. It features advanced computing resources, machine learning algorithms, and robust data analytics tools. This comprehensive technological infrastructure positions St. Peter’s Senior High School as a trailblazer in providing students with hands-on experience in cutting-edge fields, preparing them for the demands of the evolving technological landscape.
