The Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA),Rev Dr Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah is the Chief revenue collector for the country.
As a result of this important role, he is well renumerated as the second highest paid government appointee after the Governor of the Bank of Ghana to perform his functions devoid of any corrupt act.
A reliable source close to the GRA has revealed that besides the juicy monthly salary of GHS137,794.80 as at 2023, the GRA Boss enjoys other equally enticing monthly benefits.
These benefits includes housing allowance of Ghc6000, home enhancement allowance of Ghc2000, travel per diem of $1500 and clothing allowance ghc10,000.
The rest of the benefits are Free medical care for spouses & children, yearly mandatory medical examination Ghc2000 for yearly replacement of lenses, Inconvenience allowance of Ghc500/day, responsibility allowance of Ghc1500/month, monthly entertainment allowance of Ghc1500 and DSTV Premium Service of Ghc700.
The Commissioner-General of GRA also enjoys official vehicle with monthly fuel coupons, private car plus car loan, vehicle maintenance allowance of Ghc1000/month, 3 personal security guards and salary increase by 20% per annum.
Rev Dr Ammishaddai who is over 60 years and expected to be on retirement is still at post enjoying these benefits for the past two years.
