Prz Akufo-Addo Among Thousands Of Mourners At Rev Boakye’s Funeral

President Akufo-addo was among the several thousands of mourners who thronged the three separate venues for the final funeral rites of the late Founder and Overseer of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church, Rev. Anthony Boakye.

The funeral went ahead as scheduled despites rumours that the wife of the deceased placed an injunction on the church from performing the funeral.

Rev. Mrs Margaret Boakye was able to secure two injunctions on the funeral, but it was not enough to stop the extravagant celebration of the late renowned priest.

According to reports, the woman wanted to take over management of the church while he was sick and bedridden for months.

The impasse became rife after the death of the pastor to the extent that the widow was banned from attending the One Week Celebration of his death.

Eventually, she was also barred from attending the funeral of her late husband.

The church, his family and loved ones, in and outside Ghana thronged the funeral grounds to show their last respect to the man of God.

The late preacher is reported to have been laid to rest in a beautiful structure.
