McDan Is A Friend In Need- Samuel Ablakwa Eulogises
The MP for North Tongu constituency in the Volta region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has described the Chairman of the McDan Group of Companies, Dr Daniel McKorley as a Friend In Need.
This follows a visit by the philanthropist Dr Daniel McKorle (McDan) to the Mepe area where he presented a trailer full of relief items to help relief the suffering of the people of Mepe and it’s environs who have been left homeless, hopeless and distressed as a result of the devastating effects of Akosombo and Kpong dam spillage.
Receiving the items on behalf of the people, Mr Samuel Okudzeto, described the items as very scientific and research based.

“McDan’s relief items are Very Scientific and Research based” he said.
The items range from assorted drinks, water, rice, tomato cans, blankets, cloths, mattresses, and the most importantly Polytanks.
According to the MP, it takes only a visionary like McDan to look into the needs of the a suffering people and provides them for their relief.

“Since the Water body is now polluted, there’s a need for a visionary to help with the storage and supply of portable drinking water which has now become a difficulty for us. And see, there is another water tanker parked behind to supply us with water.
McDan, Oh McDan, you are truly a Friend in Need, because in our need, you have come to rescue us even though, the same incident happened in your community ( Ada). But after you helped them, you came to our aid too. We the people of North Tongu are very grateful to McDan, his family and the McDan Foundation for this intervention.

We are most grateful and appreciative for the love you’ve shown us that a friend in need is a friend indeed” Mr Ablakwa stated.
The relief items distributed by the McDan Foundation to the over 20, 000 victims who are housed in makeshift camps including school buildings were valued at Ghc 1.2 million.

WWW.EAGLEGHANA.COM applauds the generosity of Dr Daniel McKorley, the McDan Group and all who made it possible for these relief items to get to the end users, and pray for this tragedy to pass away quickly.
