McDan Celebrates With Staff Of Eagle Radio At End-Of -Year Awards Night

The Chairman of the McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley (McDan) has the end-of-year party and awards night for the staff of Eagle FM -Ada.

The awards night was attended by people from all walks of life present to celebrate with the staff over a beautiful year of dedicated service to the people, and critical reporting of facts among others.

All the staff of Eagle fm were appreciated and rewarded by the group Chairman as some through their meritorious service took home additional cash prizes among other notable items.

Mr Simon Agbovi who won the best-supporting staff of the year as a security guard and doubled as a budding sports presenter was rightly elevated to a full-time Sports presenter at the station.

He was further given a cash prize of Ghc10,000 by Dr Daniel McKorley to support himself.

The crowd was crushed with excitement and jubilation as tears rolled down the speechless Mr Simon, the once-security guard whose life was turned around in a second to be a permanent radio sports presenter.

He thanked all those who aided him in this journey especially Mr Kelvin Atuguba, the General Manager of Eagle and the McDan Foundation who saw his talent, explored it and allowed him to showcase it to the world.

The Head of the sports desk, Jonathan was also fully involved in his training, coaching and journalistic upbringing.

McDan used the opportunity to encourage the workers to dedicate themselves to duty whiles using the medium of radio to advocate truth, integrity, humanity and love for one another.
The function came to a successful end as the staff and community members made merry in remembrance of the year’s activities.
