Mahama To Drop Prof Jane Opoku For Eric Opoku

The Former president H.E John Dramani Mahama has given an indication of dropping his running mate for the 2020 general elections, ProfJane Naana Opoku Agyeman for Eric Opoku, the current Member of Parliament for Asunafo South in the Ahafo region.

Speaking to chiefs and supporters at a campaign tour of the Asunafo South area, Mr Mahama extolled the supreme hard working ethics of Mr Eric Opoku and pledged to send his name to the party’s council of elders for consideration as his running mate.

This follows an appeal made by the chiefs and people of the area for the MP to be considered by the NDC flagbearer as his running mate.

H.E John Mahama cited hard work, humility, dedication to duty, intelligence and uprightness as the attributes of Hon Eric Opoku which stands tall to push forth the agenda of a Mahama and Opoku ticket as against the NPP’s Bawumia and potential Napo ticket.

Should H.E Mahama stands his ground to reject the Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman partnership and approves the Eric Opoku ticket and goes on t get the endorsement of the elders of the party, then it would put up Eric Opoku as the first-ever Running mate coming from the Brong Ahafo region (now Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions) of Ghana for the NDC.

With his expertise, kwoledge and good debating skills, Eric Opku if chosen will work hard to apeease his boss for success come 2024.
