Late NDC Vice Chair Sherry Ayittey Goes Home On Nov 10
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled a night of tributes, hymns and song ministrations in honour of late Vice Chairperson Dr Sherry-Hanny Ayittey.
The former Minister of Health, Minister Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Minister of Environment, Science and Technology died on Saturday July 22, 2023 after a short illness.
The family has announced her funeral arrangements.
She is expected to be buried, privately, after filing past, burial service and final funeral rites at the forecourt of the State House on Friday, November 10.
A week before that is NDC’s night of tributes, hymns and song ministrations at the party’s headquarters at Adabraka, Accra.
Among the chief mourners are former President John Dramani Mahama, former First Lady Lordina Mahama, National Chairman of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and Greater Accra Region Chairman of the NDC Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore.
Dr Ayittey is survived by her husband, Negash Jose Taddese, and daughter, Dr Nigist Abena Taddese.
