Karela United To Be Relocated To Tamale After Haruna Iddrisu Take Over

Ghana Premier League side, Karela United, is set to be moved from Ayinase in the Western region to the Northern region of Ghana.

This comes on the back of the club being acquired by Ghanaian politician, Haruna Iddrisu, in December 2022 during the break the betPawa Ghana Premier League for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The former Minister for Communication has been vocal about his acquisition of the team citing “moving the club forward” as a desire of his.

The club, currently based in the Western Region, finished 8th in the Ghana Premier League last season with 47 points from 34 games.

Haruna Iddrisu is the Member of Parliament for the Tamale South constituency and his acquisition of Karela United and the imminent relocation of the club suggests the club is looking to start a new chapter with the vision of their new owner as the new betPawa Ghana premier league season draws near.
