Juventus Academy To Charge For Enrolment Minimum Fee of GH¢17,910 Per Season

November 8, 2023

Young enthusiasts with dreams of honing their football skills at the Juventus Ghana Academy should prepare for an investment in their future as the academy introduces a tiered fee structure, providing a range of opportunities for talent across various age groups.

The initiative promises to offer a world-class football education deeply rooted in the celebrated Italian club’s football philosophy, with prospective students expected to allocate between GH¢17,910 and GH¢35,820 for each season of training.

Officially commissioned last week, the academy is being spearheaded by former Ghana and Juventus star, Kwadwo Asamoah, with Massimiliano Colasuonno Taricone, as co-owner of the project. It aims to provide opportunities for young male and female talents aged between six and 21 years to hone their talents along the Italian club’s famed football methods and values and grow both on and off the pitch.

Packages
Information on the academy’s website indicates that the packages vary; based on age categories, they range between $1,500 and $3,000 per season and in dollar equivalent.

Children between the ages of six and eight years, otherwise referred to as Pulcini, will be required to pay a registration fee of $1,500 per season, those between ages nine and 11 (Giovannissimi) will be required to pay $2,000 each season.

The Allievi (players between the ages of 12 and 14) must make seasonal payments of $2,500; while the Primaveras (players between 15 and 19) are required to pay $3,000 per season to be enrolled in the academy.

Besides the applicable fees per each season, the Pulcinis and the Giovanissimis would be charged an additional $400 for kits, while the Allievis and Primaveras would be charged $450 for their equipment, which guarantees players an official training kit, match games kit, presentation suit raincoat and a bag.

Programmes
The academy also has a comprehensive development programme for each category, with the Pulcini and Giovannissimi having two training sessions a week in addition to a match on the weekend, while the Allievi and Primavera have three classes each week and a match every weekend.

The academy’s facilities, located at Casa Trasacco along Spintex Road, are nothing short of impressive. It is equipped with an astroturf football pitch, a tennis court, a multi-purpose court for basketball, volleyball and skating, as well as a six-a-side futsal arena.

It also has four classrooms that can seat 30 children each.
