Ivorian Fans Label Head Coach ‘Arogant’ For Leaving Out Wilfried Zaha
The Head coach for the Ivorian national team, Jean-Louis Gasset, is being dragged on the net, following his decision to keep the international player, Wilfried Zaha out of the selection.
“Zaha was the thorniest case. In the right balance of the team, we have a lot of right-handers. During the recent gatherings, I felt a player not very liberated. So, it’s a decision of the coach”, he claimed.

After the bitter defeat against Nigeria this Thursday, some fans of the national football team felt betrayed by the decision of the Head coach. His reasons for them, are purely emotional and it has nothing to do with Zaha’s performance on the field.
In spite of this decision, the left winger of Galatasaray made a post on his Instagram status, wishing good luck to his teammates.
“Good luck to the ones selected to represent the country. I’ll be cheering from afar” he posted.
However, Zaha has proven to be one of the pivotal players needed for the benefit of the team. He has showed in the last tournament his abilities to create breaches in the opposing defense several times.
It will be wise to reconsider including Wilfried Zaha in the selection for the next games to come or else, Cote d’Ivoire might be witnessing the cup fluttering outside the country.
