GFA Presidential Aspirants To Pay GH¢50,000 As Filing Fee

Individuals aspiring to lead the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as President will each pay GH¢50,000 as nomination fee as the association goes to the polls in October later this year.

The amount represents a whopping 900 percent increment from GH¢5,000 in the last election four years ago to GH¢50,000.

This was approved Monday 10, July at the 29^th Ordinary Session of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in Kumasi ahead at the Elective Congress in October.

The Elections Committee of the GFA made the proposal for the increment of the presidential and other fees to take care of the administration cost of elections.

The ordinary congress has also increased the nomination fee for the Executive Council fee of GH¢2,500 at the last election to GH¢15,000.
