FC Nania Shocks Accra Hearts Of Oak 4-3 On Penalties In FA Cup Game
Heavyweight of Ghana Soccer, Accra Hearts of Oak has been shocked by Division One League side ,Nania FC in a round of 64 FA Cup game, winning the match 4-3 on penaltieis.
The game was unentertaining and boring for large parts of the match which was played at the new Sports Centre of the football giants, the Pobiman Sports stadium.
The match had few quality moments and ultimately ended in a 0-0 draw and decidied through to the lottory of penalties much to the frustration of the teeming home supporters.
Accra Hearts of OAK has been accordingly eleiminated from the 2023/2024 MTN FA Cup competition.
Before the match ,there was positive hope and energy amongst the supporters of the Phobia fraternity to do a good number on the Division One Side ( Nania FC) owned by African football legend ,Abedi Ayew Pele but that did not materialize in the circumstances.
The latest performance of the Hearts team has drawn some ire from the fans especially with the game played at a venue very comfortable to the Premier league giants.
After the game, most of the players were hooted at by a cross section of the fans for falling out of the competition so early to end their ambitions of winning the trophy.
The elimination from the prestigious tournament at this stage adds up to the turgid performances from the Phobians currently in the 2023/2024 season which has not been too good and led to the the departure of coach Martin Koopman who arrived with a huge reputation from Holland.
