Employees Of Electrochem Ghana Grateful To McDan For His Investment

The Songor Salt Mining Project is a contractual agreement to mine salt between the Government of Ghana and The Electrochem Ghana limited.
In the contract, the investor is required to pay Ground Rent, Royalties, Taxes etc to the state and further develop the industry.

Dr Daniel McKorley(McDan) has invested so much in the project which has provided employment for hundreds of people.
The Employees at Electrochem Ghana who are in charge of legally mining salt in Ada, last Friday 17th of November 2023 praised the hardwork of Dr. Daniel McKorley in helping them secure employment.

The workers who were seen happily working in the salt pans told eagle news that, for a long time now, the songor salt mine was deserted and that it was hard for them to feed their families because of less employment. But this investment of McDan has aided them to be self reliant and dependent on themselves since they work to earn money.

Others who also came from the Northern regions to work said that they came to the salt pans with their families because they were informed that the Electrochem Salt mining industry is open to employ hardworking Ghanaians, and as at now, through their hardwork and wages, their standard of living had changed drastically.

They all thanked Dr. Daniel McKorley for his investment in the songor salt and bringing it back to life.
