Burna Boy Performs ‘Ye’ At Stellair Festival In Abidjan

Grammy-winner and originator of Afro-Fusion genre, Burna Boy last week Saturday performed in the city of Abidjan, Cote D’Voire.

As part of activities to entertain the public during the 2023 AFCON competition, the local organizing committee (COCAN), organized a music festival where artists where invited to perform.

It was a 4 day music festival held from 16th to the 20th January, 2024.

The event incorporated other fun activities such as, mini football tournament, console gaming competition and climaxes with the artist’s night on the last day.

The stellair festival was an event intended to create a multicultural gathering whereby, individuals from different background could meet and share their music taste and have fun.

On the night of the 20th January, the Nigerian artist Damini Egbunoluwa, commonly known as Burna Boy, perfomed several of his hit songs for the crowd. He performed songs such as “ Ye”, “Gbona”, “Last Last” , “ Pull- Up”, and a lot of featured songs.

The Nigerian singer’s presence on the stage was remarkable as, he was able to deliver a performance worthy of the name.

The crowd also invested themselves in the show as they sung along to most of the tracks regardless of the language barrier.

Burna Boy encouraged the Super Eagles to go high as they have his supporter and also commended the Nigerian fans that made the trip to Abidjan.

Accirding to him, this shows how united and supportive Nigerian Artists can be when it comes to displaying their culture outside of their territory.
