Ada Is Set For 2024 Asafotufiami Festival

Preparations are set for the celebration of the 2024 Asafotufiami festival of the Chiefs and people of the Ada Traditional Area in the Greater Accra region.

The 2024 Ada Asafotufiami is on the theme: “Upholding the Discipline of our Forbears as a Tool for Sustainable Development & Unity” which is scheduled from July 31 to August 8, 2024.

A major feature of this year’s Asafotufiami festival is the Miss 2024 Asafotu beauty contest on August 2, 2024 where ten beautiful ladies are vying for the crown and a brand new saloon car as the ultimate prize.

Each finalist is expected to prove her knowledge and understanding of the rich history, culture and traditions of Ada in order to convince the judges for the coveted prize.

The 2024 Miss Asafo beauty contest is being organized by Eagle 104.9 fm in collaboration with the Ada Traditional Council with support from Electrochem Ghana limited and the local branch of Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) who are the main costume providers for the contestants.

All sons and daughters of Ada from home and abroad as well as lovers of culture and tradition will be in attendace.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to grace the grand durbar of the Chiefs and people of Ada on Saturday August 3, 2024..
