Ada East NCCE Intensify Public Education On Ongoing Limited Voter Registration

The Ada East District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), madam Faustina Blewusi has encouraged qualified residents of Ada especially young people who have attained the age of 18 to avail themselves for the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

According to her, it is the civic responsibility of every citizen who has attain 18 years to exercise their franchise through the election of their representatives at the local district and national levels when the time due.

She explained that the right to vote can only be exercise if the citizen who is qualified registered and acquires a voters ID card and has therefore appeal to all residents of Ada and its environs who are 18 and those who did not register during the 2020 registration to avail themselves and acquire the voter ID card.

Madam Blewusu made the call when she appeared on the Eagle Morning Show (EMS) on Wednesday September 20, 2023

In a conversation with the NCCE Director after the show, the General Manger of Eagle FM, Kelvin Atuguba commended the NCCE for its efforts at keeping the public educated about their civic responsibilities and encouraged the commission to keep up the good work at the local lelvel.

Mr Atuguba assured of the readiness of EAGLE FM to partner with NCCE to enhance public education on local and national issues.

The National Commission for Civic Education is a constitutional body created under article 231 of the 1992 constitution of Ghana and the National Commission for Civic Education Act, 1993, Act 452 as an independent, non-partisan governance institution to promote and sustain democracy and inculcate in the Ghanaian citizenry, the awareness of their rights and obligations, through civic education.
