Ablakwa Demands Immediate Reinstatement Of Military To Flooded Communities
The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is demanding the prompt reversal of the decision that withdraws soldiers involved in rescue mission in Mepe, one of the severely affected areas of floods as a result of the spillage of the Akosombo and Kpong Dams.
Reports say an order from above had asked the military to park their rescue logistics and vacate the area without any convincing reasons.

The ostensibly worried lawmaker for the area who wondered who ordered for the withdrawal of the men in uniform since there are several people in holding camps across the waters.

“Who ‘above’ has given orders to the military detachment helping us cross flood waters to immediately withdraw when the water levels haven’t receded and when thousands of lives are at stake in camps across these waters?
“Who in government is behind this utter cruelty?” He tweeted.
But in another tweet, he said “I just received a call indicating that the order has been reversed and that the soldiers have been directed to return with their boats and resume duty.
“Soon, we shall fish out those faceless, unpatriotic elements.”
