Ada Tradional Council Bans NDC Parliamentary Candidate Over ‘Complete Animals’ Label
The Ada Tradional Council has placed a permanet ban on campaign activities of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Sege, Mr Daniel Bessey for allegely calling all the Chiefs in Ada as “Complete Animal Chiefs”.
A letter signed by Nene Tetteh Asigbe III on behalf of the association and addressed to Mr Bessey warned the NDC candidate to stay away from from campaigning in any of the Sege communities since they cannot gurantee his security.
According to the letter, the chiefs could not gurantee his safety as a person in campaigning for political power to lead the people and the “Animals of Chiefs” that represented them in the affairs of leadership.
It further explained that the anger of the people who are loyal to the customs and traditions of Ada land might trigger tensions and chaos against his person if he defies the ban.
This follows a viral video on social media in which the candidate in the midst of 7 people including his bodygards denounced the legitimacy of His Royal Majesty, Dzetse Abram Kabu Akuaku III as the overload of the Ada Tradional Area.
The route to the paramountcy is a century old tradition held the sacredness that it deserves by the people of Ada to this day where His Royal Majesty, Dzetse Abram Kabu Akuaku III is now the overlord.

Meanwhile, Mr Bessey has retracted the unfortunate comments he made against the Traditional Council.
Speaking to the media on the call by the traditional authority noted that he didn’t mean to disregard the chiefs but rather was disquieted by the death of a citizen who was lying in a pool of blood.
“My attention has been drawn to a press conference by the Ada Traditional Council in which my name appeared in the press as insulting and undermining their offices and reference made to the paramount chief Dzetse Abraham Akuaku III”, he stated.
