Dr Bawumia Commissions McDan Teshie Sports Complex
Vice President of the repiblic, Dr Mahamudu Bawmumia has officially commissioned the McDan Teshie Sports Complex built by Chairman of the McDan Group of Companies, Dr Daniel McKorley.
Commissioning the facility supported by Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Yussif, Greater Accra regional minister, Henry Quartey and Dr Daniel McKorley, Dr Bawumia said the project is a culmination of hard work from various stakeholders.

Former MP for Tema East and current Managing Director of the Volta Aluminum Company limited (VALCO), Daniel Nii Titus Glover was also in attendance.

The vice president said the project is a testament of what can be achieved through teamwork.
He thanked Dr Daniel McKorley who is popularly known as McDan for sponsoring the facility, former MP for Ledzokuku, Dr Bernard Okoe Boye for facilitating the project and Chief Executive Officer for the Wembley Sports Construction, Robert Tetteh Coleman who executed the project.

Dr Bawumia took the ceremonial kick off for the start of the main game marking the commissioning of the facility between Stephen Appiah 11 verses Dr Bernard Okoe Boye 11.

Players who play for the Stephen Appiah 11 side include Isaac Vorsah, John Paintsil, Fataw Dauda, Sam Johnson, Laryea Kingston Sammy Agyei, Derrick Boateng, Charles Taylor, Jerry Akaminko, Augustine Ahinful, Dan Quaye and Awudu Issaka.

Other dignitaries who witnessed the grand commissioning of the facility are Chiefs and people of Teshie Traditional area as well as well-wishers from all walks of life.
