Ophelia Mensah Hayford Is New Environment, Science, Technology & Innovation Minister-Designate

President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman, Ophelia Mensah Hayford as the Minister-designate for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI).

She is expected to take over from Dr Kwaku Afriyie who has been taken out in president Akufo-Addo’s latestes ministerial reshuffle.

Hon Ophelia Mensah who was elected Member of Parliament for Mfantseman in December 2020 is currently Vice Chairperson of the Defence and Interior committee of the House.

She is a member of the Defence and Interior and House committees of Parliament.

The President submitted to Parliament, for prior approval, through the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin the names of the new Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State, in accordance with articles 78, 79 and 256, respectively, of the Constitution:
