Namibia’s President, Geingob Dies Age 82 Of Cancer
Namibia’s President Hage Geingob has died aged 82 Sunday at 00:04.
Vice President Nangolo Mbumba announced his passing on NBC. President Geingob recently got back from the US, where he was being treated for cancer.
Last night, “The Namibian” reported that President Hage Geingob was in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

This was confirmed by Presidency press secretary Alfredo Hengari on Saturday evening.
“I do confirm,” Hengari told The Namibian.
State media house New Era reported that Geingob was admitted to an intensive care unit after returning from the United States of America, where he had undergone cancer treatment.
The president returned to Namibia on Wednesday after a two-day trial treatment in the US for the cancerous cells he was diagnosed with during January.
Geingob underwent treatment with scientists and medical professionals in Los Angeles.
He was admitted in a private Windhoek hospital.
The president’s medical team had observed some signs of improvement since his return to the country unfortunately at 0:04 Sunday, 4h February, he answered the Lords call.
Hage Gottfried Geingob (born 3 August 1941) was a Namibian politician, serving as the third president of that country since 21 March 2015.
